As Host of The Mindful Marketplace on BizRadio.US, I am honored and humbled by the opportunity to partner with such a thoughtful and catalytic organization like Neighborhood Economics.
My first career was in the Peace Corps, Housing for the Chronically Homeless, and Food Insecurity in Metro Detroit. I then moved into Financial Services after attending a BALLE (Business Alliance for Local Living Economies) Conference in 2013.
After almost a decade, my agency has grown with a commitment to Accelerating The Solidarity Economy by helping working families, small businesses, community finance, catalytic investors, and values-based advisors create enduring acceleration strategies and downside protection for their assets, income, and impact.
In May of 2021, I partnered with BizRadio.US to create The Mindful Marketplace, a show dedicated to sharing the stories of the people who are breaking down two-pocket thinking and creating the regenerative markets of a more just and equitable future. We talk to the entrepreneurs, advisors, industry leaders, investors, and economic experts who are not only solving a market problem to make a profit but also solving a social problem to make an impact. It’s where we learn how to connect our money and business to our values, our community, and ourselves.
I am thrilled to get to learn about and chronicle the radically innovative and sacred task being done by the individuals and groups attending the Neighborhood Economics Conference. It is you who are doing the difficult and necessary work of creating a just transition to a more Mindful Marketplace.
