Like the idea of eco services. Very much.  How to design is ?  Has to be doable and longer term 

There is a disability rights angle, big one.  

Fed funds for trails throughout. Might make the case that this could preempt future expansion and best routes of swan greenway now starting   At the eastern end this might connect thru the gap to the trail to old fort where as the fonta flora trail, it could reach the catawba at morganton. 

Clean water management trust fund could buy most of whatever remains of the 81 acres. But need political allies. 
Pretty sure they were part of the lake logan swap. And pretty sure that no one involved contemplated a future sacrifice of the terry estate.
