Valley View Worms and Produce is a family owned and operated business in the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina. This homestead was started in 1921 as a chicken farm and converted to tourist rentals in the 1940’s. It is now maintained by Don and Mary Ann Smith and their son Andrew. | |||
A wide variety of worm products and organically grown vegetables and herbs are currently being generated at Valley View Farm. The worm business was started in 2014 by Mary Ann, a former high school math teacher. Upon retiring, Mary Ann decided that worm farming would be a great complement to her avid interest in gardening. The result was the formation of a new business to grow “living soil” via worm products. | |||
Mary Ann is proud to carry on the entrepreneurial spirit of her family, which has now farmed this very land for six generations. More than that, Valley View Worms and Produce is delighted to be educating the community about sustainable practices in farming and production of healthy food. | |||
