Landback [[1]] is a movement of ceding land back to the indigenous tribes in the United States from whom it was stolen. The process is sometimes called Rematriation.
The Sogorea Te Land Trust [[2]] is the indigenous women led group that partnered with Movement Generation for the 43 acres ceced back in Oakland. It was on unceded Bay Miwok land. The Sogorea Te Land Trust has also gotten five other parcels in the East Bay.
