I'm still learning more as these credits are new in the Carbon Credit market. The real difference here is that the biodiversity credit is created and led by the Indigenous people of the land, therefore they gain significant financial benefit. They have yet to be regulated like carbon credits, and the people that have been able to sell them have done in the private sector. Many people believe carbon credits and biodiversity credits will become one in the next decade.
