Caledonia CDC: This is an affordable housing infill project in Cleveland. It's supporting the neighborhood while providing more affordable housing (for purchase/ownership) for teachers, nurses, etc. Start Right’s Caledonia Homes site [1] The project is 23 new single family homes in the $200,000 to $230,000 range, with a 15-year, 100 percent tax abatement provided through the citywide Community Reinvestment Area (CRA) enacted across Cleveland Heights in 2018. The city can also provide further incentive to homebuyers with a $15,000 deferred second-mortgage downpayment assistance loan, although if you move, you’ve got to pay it back.
