Momentum

The fall has brought on a busy travel season, and that’s because our work in Neighborhood Economics depends on connections with local communities and good relationships with partners.

Resources can’t hit the ground in local neighborhoods unless we build together. The excitement of this work is being able to see and learn as we move to convene a gathering in San Antonio in February and other cities later in 2024. We are working toward a series of meetings and events to create an ecosystem, a force that gathers to gain strength and then the energy exploding in local neighborhoods through the networks and partnerships formed.

Our team is deep in this work. I will be all over Texas over the next few weeks and would love to connect as we work our way towards just economies. I am well aware that there are many of you doing great work in your neighborhoods, and many of you looking at ways to invest for good.

If you are in Texas and want to connect, or if you have a connection in Texas I should know about, please reach out to me at leroy@neighborhoodeconomics.org.

San Antonio in February will be fantastic because you will all be there. Hope to see you on the road. The momentum will absolutely change lives.
