Kevin (resilient coordinated climate change response in a bioregion) sounds like a great topic; I just this morning attended a reunion with Theory U alumni, that is what they are working on. To work effectively within a bioregion requires active community participation, and some form of plan that people can sign up for to engage in real change. As an example, we have a local non-profit operating a group of kitchens to feed people in need, serving over 20,000 meals per month. Last year I worked with them on an [[expansion plan]], here is the blueprint which they actually implemented with operations in Redmond and Sisters. Now with the farm bill in negotiation we have an opportunity to renegotiate the nutritional assistance programs, not just the amount of budget but far more important the regulatory frame that suppresses competition and provides an unfair advantage to national retailers.

I did spend some time using my GPT to map out the system now in place, and see what it might take to make adjustments that resonate positively in the community. The idea is the help communities to make sure that there is always access to healthy food sourced locally, staffed locally, keeping the money turning inside the community.

Last year I worked with Family Kitchen on an expansion plan, here is the blueprint which they actually implemented with operations in Redmond and Sisters.

Really excited that the board of family kitchen decided to go ahead with this idea, we'll start in July to meet, dedicate resources, and draft a project plan. I did write a Letter to the Editor in the local paper that was published just before I sent out this idea (attached).

I would love to declare this a prototype application process, there are volunteer kitchens in every city no matter what size who could benefit from this. I will connect with USDA when we get ready and engage them into the process from the start.

One topic that might be of interest to you Kevin is that we may want to combine this with a local currency. The double your buck program is not applicable, but something like it could funnel local donations to a debit card that can be restricted to participating vendors and specific types of products.

Can we explore?

there's just a chance that with holochain, inter operating with other new platforms, like that of impact assets for dafs, cooperating and accelerating the flow of capital to good just got a lot easier. low cost integration is key. i am focusing on areas with growing liquidity or market opportunity coupled with economic justice.

that's my idea. glad to follow other plans, as well. thinking about meta level collaboration with the launch, after five years, of holochain.

This week I'm super busy, so I'd love to hand Thursday's OGM call to someone(s) who would like to take it in an interesting direction. I'll be able to open the call, hand it off, then step out.

Please reply here with an idea, or send me an email with one, or propose one on the OGM Town Square channel.

Thank you! Jerry /now
